A vote for Katie is a vote for Bacerra.

Katie cant win. If you were serious you would have told us to vote for Tom Steyer.

If people vote for Katie Porter, she wins. That is how it works.

This is a powerful piece about the urgency of voting for a true climate-champion candidate for governor. I would say the author is brilliant - when it comes to knowledge, insight, and clarity about the urgent challenges we face. But when it comes to political strategy - not so brilliant…. He recognizes that we do NOT have RCV voting in CA, but then fails the logic and savvy realism test - by not recognizing that Katie Porter is polling significantly lower than Tom Steyer, and is extremely unlikely to overtake him.. So - voting for her at this point is an act of wishful self-delusion…. IF your #1 concern is climate!! Some of the smartest people sometime fail to apply consistent, reality-based logic in certain contexts…. Unfortunately, this myopia is going to leave us with Big Oil’s preferred candidate as our Democratic standard bearer…

Exactly. That’s why I’m beginning to think it’s a set up.

You’re very good peace on Climate fails. The last test when you come to Katie Porter. She is pulling in the single digits and has been for a long time. She has no chance and keeping her in the race is throwing the chance for a governor who does care about Climate. I can’t even understand how you came to that conclusion.
